Mike and Jessi Rigdon
Jessi and I are Southern California natives that met in high school at our church's high school ministry. From the beginning of our dating relationship, partnering in ministry was something that was really important to us. As we continued on to college at Vanguard University, and then into full time ministry, God has continued to give us a passion for creating space for living in authentic community with other Jesus followers. After 11 years of ministry in other capacities, we felt the call to start a church specifically in the city of Santa Ana.
In 2014, we joined the church planting residency at ROCKHARBOR Church where we experienced support, mentorship, and a foundation to begin as an independent church. In September 2016, we began meeting weekly as Reunion Church at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana. Most recently, the door opened to meet at Willard Intermediate, and we are looking forward to this next chapter of ministry with our Reunion Family.
Some things that you should know about us (just for fun): we have two crazy dogs and an energetic son, so needless to say our house is never quiet. We love having people over and the conversations about life and faith that happen over a meal. We love everything downtown Santa Ana has to offer, and can usually be found at one of the restaurants or coffee shops throughout the week. Our office is usually Hidden House Coffee, and seeing friends there makes busy Orange County feel like a small town.
We would love to connect with you and share more about us and our calling to Santa Ana. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
1 Corinthians 12 describes the church as a body. Saying : “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church:first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles,
those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages.”
We believe the truth in this verse that every believer has a gift and role in the body- which is why Reunion Church is not built on the gifts of a few, but on the gifts of the entire body! Since our launch, Reunion has been lead by a team of gifted volunteer leaders that oversee different areas in the church. We strive to continue this model and empower leaders within our community to live our their God given gifts.
